Basic Overview

Knob Fire
1,130 acres
80% contained
28 Personnel are working the fire.

PLANNED ACTIONS

Burn out when conditions are favorable. Mop up control lines 100 feet in from containment lines. Crews will be patrolling and cleaning out control lines daily. Monitor Highway 64 for smoke and traffic. Respond to all initial attack fires within the temporary flight restriction boundary established for the fire and support all other initial attack requested by host unit cooperators.

ANTICIPATED WEATHER AND FIRE BEHAVIOR

Friday will see clear skies with higher temperatures in the upper 60s and minimum RH (humidity) in the upper 20% range. Warm temperatures and stronger winds of up to 10 mph returning will produce continuing active fire behavior given extraordinary dry fuels.

Saturday will see mostly clear skies and temperatures in the 60's along with humidities from the upper 20s to 35%. Fire behavior will remain active.

Sunday will see continued drying of fuels and moderate to active fire behavior and continued movement and growth on all uncontained fires.
