A Tornado Watch is in effect for Macon County until 7am. There may be others issued later as the line of storms approach the county. the storms are currently (3am) expected to arrive sometime between 9am and 1pm.
Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop ahead of an approaching cold front today throug tonight. A few storms may become strong to severe, with damaging wind gusts as the main threat. Additionally, stronger showers and storms may produce locally heavy rainfall. A brief tornado cannot be ruled out.
