Dry high pressure will control our weather through much of next week. A gradual warming trend is expected through the weekend and the first half of next week. Temperatures will be above normal next week.

GENERAL FORECAST

(since this is a quick forecast intended to cover the whole county, bear in mind that higher elevations may experience cooler temperatures than this and the lower elevations may experience higher temperatures than those in the forecast)

.TODAY...Areas of frost in the morning. Sunny. Highs in the upper 50s. Light and variable winds in the morning increasing to come out of the southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
.TONIGHT...Clear. Lows in the upper 30s. Winds out of the east around 5 mph.
.SATURDAY...Sunny. Highs in the lower 60s. Winds out of the east around 5 mph.
.SATURDAY NIGHT...Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 40s. Light and variable winds in the early evening increasing to come out of the northeast around 5 mph after midnight.
.SUNDAY...Sunny. Highs in the mid 60s.
.SUNDAY NIGHT...Clear. Lows in the mid 40s.


HAZARDOUS WEATHER

A Freeze Warning will remain in effect until 10am this morning.Another one may be issued for tonight and Friday morning.

Cold air will remain in place through tonight, potentially leading to areas of frost tonight and early Friday morning.





...FROST ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM EDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...
Temperatures as low as 33 will result in frost formation.

* WHERE...Upstate South Carolina, the mountains, foothills, and Piedmont of North Carolina, and the mountains of northeast Georgia.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. In-ground sprinkler systems should be drained. Remove hoses and cover above- ground pipes.
