A groundbreaking ceremony took place yesterday morning in the Panther Pit at Franklin High School to symbolically mark the beginning of construction of the new Franklin High School. Videos and photos will be published Monday.
On the second day of early voting in Macon County, 1,600 voters cast ballots (1,608 yesterday), no data was provided by the Board of Elections regarding locations as they were the first day (1,277 in Franklin and 331 in Highlands). Early voting will continue through Saturday, Nov 3rd at 3pm.
The total number of voters having voted so far in Macon County is 3,208. As of October 12th, 2024, there were 29,309 registered voters in Macon County.
