Outlook
Light southerly flow will develop today as warmer and more humid air returns to the region. An upper-level low pressure system will then approach the area from the west on Monday and Tuesday and cross the area on Tuesday night, with the best chance of organized thunderstorms likely Monday afternoon and evening. Drier high pressure will return mid week before a cold front approaches from the west late in the week, albeit with fairly limited moisture.

Numerous to widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop Monday and continue into Monday night. The storms may produce heavy rainfall across the mountains, leading to the potential for isolated flooding. Instability and shear are also expected to increase into the moderate range. This could lead to organized storms, or isolated strong to severe storms.
