HAZARDOUS WEATHER
A few strong to severe storms may develop this afternoon and evening, mainly along and west of I-26. The main hazards with any severe storms that develop are damaging wind gusts and large hail.
Strong to severe storms are possible this evening and tonight across the western Carolinas and northeast Georgia. Confidence on the severe threat is low as activity is expected to weaken as it pushes across the North Carolina mountains. The main hazards with any severe storms that develop are damaging wind gusts and large hail. However, an isolated, brief tornado cannot be entirely ruled out, mainly across the North Carolina mountains, northeast Georgia, and the northwestern South Carolina Upstate.
