The Franklin Town Board of Aldermen met last night in a continuation meeting from their September 3rd meeting [see coverage of that meeting] to discuss a street closing request, a tax release and a dozen requests by local non-profits for funding out of the Community Funding Pool.

No other members of the media were present. I suspect they were all in Highlands for the monthly meeting of the Macon County Board of Education and did not have reporters available for this meeting. I decided this meeting was more important.

Motion carried. Pattillo motioned and Scott seconded. Vote: 6 to 0.
