Macon County Reports Six Additional Deaths Related to COVID-19
Macon County Public Health received notification that two Macon County residents, between the age of 50 and 64 who were diagnosed with COVID-19, have passed away. We have also received notification that four Macon County residents, over the age of 65 who were diagnosed with COVID-19, have passed away. To protect the privacy of the families, no additional information will be released. This brings Macon County to ninety-four (94) deaths related to COVID-19.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with these families,” said Health Director, Kathy McGaha. McGaha continued, “Macon County is a high transmission community. Residents can help protect themselves by receiving the COVID-19 vaccine and booster if eligible. Residents are also encouraged to wear masks indoors and to socially distance.”
