GENERAL OUTLOOK

Broad high pressure is expected to remain over the region through the middle of the week. Much colder temperatures are expected through early next week with a warming trend returning in the middle of the week. The area stay will stay relatively dry through most of the forecast period with the exception of a few bouts of snow flurries over the mountains.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER
An unseasonably cold airmass will spread over the area this weekend and linger thru early next week. Higher elevations in the mountains, generally above 3500 feet, will experience an extended period of below freezing temperatures through Tuesday night. Elsewhere across the area, a hard freeze is likely each morning.
