GENERAL OUTLOOK

The passage of a strong cold front today will bring windy conditions and usher in a cold airmass. Near-normal temperatures return mid to late week. A low pressure system could bring precipitation to the area for the weekend.

..TONIGHT....Mostly clear and blustery. Much colder with lows around 17. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

..TUESDAY....Sunny. Highs in the mid 30s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 40 mph, decreasing to 25 mph in the afternoon.

..TUESDAY NIGHT....Mostly clear. Cold with lows around 20. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

..WEDNESDAY....Sunny. Highs in the mid 40s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Gusts up to 25 mph in the afternoon.

..WEDNESDAY NIGHT....Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 20s.



HAZARDOUS WEATHER

A robust cold front will move through the area today bringing gusty winds in its wake. Wind gusts of 35 to 50 mph with locally higher gusts will be possible this afternoon and tonight, especially in higher elevations above 3500 feet. Wind chills will fall into the single digits above and below zero in some of those areas as well.
