...BLACK ICE EXPECTED THIS MORNING...
With temperatures below freezing across the region, areas of black ice are expected to remain on roadways this morning. If traveling, be prepared for hazardous road conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses as well as on untreated or shaded roadways. Use extra caution when walking on sidewalks, driveways, and in parking lots. Although temperatures will rise above freezing across most locations by afternoon, patchy black ice may linger across the higher elevations of the North Carolina mountains as well as in shaded areas throughout the day.
