Patches of light snow will move northeast across the area early this morning. Where temperatures are cold enough, a very light accumulation will occur. Patchy black ice will remain until temperatures warm later this morning.

Snow showers are expected to develop in the higher elevations along the Tennessee border Friday afternoon and continue into the night. Accumulations are uncertain at this time, but a Winter Weather Advisory may be needed.

In addition to the snow, strong wind gusts are expected across the mountains and will continue into the day Saturday. A Wind Advisory may be needed as well.
