NWS GENERAL OUTLOOK

1. Scattered showers and thunderstorms develop this afternoon, with a marginal risk for severe storms, mainly across the southern half of the area. Temperatures rebound to near-normal today, with a return to cooler conditions Tuesday.

2. Dry conditions are expected from Wednesday through Saturday. A warming trend begins Wednesday, with a return to near-normal temperatures expected by the weekend.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER



A cluster of thunderstorms are expected to move into the area from the northwest this afternoon and evening. A few of these storms may become strong to severe, with damaging winds and hail the primary threat, with the most likely area to see severe storms being in the southern Cumberland plateau southern Tennessee valley. If all things line up, the environment is supportive of winds up to 65 mph and 1 to 1.5 inch hail.
