Warm high pressure will continue to dominate the weather today before a frontal boundary approaches the area from the north Thursday. The front will stall out on Friday then lifts back north as a warm front over the weekend. The next front pushes in from the north on Monday.

There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms today. Most locations will not experience them. Isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop across the area this afternoon into this evening, with the highest coverage expected across our area. The main threats will be cloud-to-ground lightning and torrential downpours. Locally heavy rainfall due to very slow-moving storms may cause isolated flooding.
