HOLIDAY TRAVEL

Today is one of the busiest travel days of the years and area roads may be congested, so expect delays in getting to your destination. Leave a little earlier than usual and be patient on the roadways. The number of accidents will probably be higher than normal so be on the lookout for emergency personnel and tow truck drivers in or on the side of the road near accident locations.

Outlook

High pressure will remain across the region through Thanksgiving and maintain dry and cool conditions. Widespread precipitation is likely late Friday through Saturday as a low-pressure system tracks northeast from the Gulf of Mexico. Another wet frontal system will likely arrive early next week.

Tree Lighting and Candlelight Service in Franklin



The annual tree lighting ceremony will take place at the gazebo on Iotla Street at 7:00 pm Saturday Night (November 24th). It will be followed at 7:15 pm by a Candlelight Service at the Nativity Scene located at Speakers Corner next to the county courthouse.
