5th Annual Ruby Drop
The 5th annual Ruby Drop, organized by the Crabtree Family and observed by hundreds, rang in the new year on Main Street in Franklin overnight last night. Here is s video highlight of the event.
Outlook
A slow moving cold front will drift southeast across our area today and become stationary near the Gulf coast tonight into Wednesday. High pressure briefly controls our weather tonight and Wednesday morning. Expecting another heavy rain event Thursday and Friday. Dry weather returns for the weekend.

Weather Hazards
Areas of dense fog is expected this morning. Please turn on your headlights while on the roadways so other motorists can see you.
The rain occurring early in the week will keep soils saturated prior to yet another widespread rainfall event, which is likely to arrive Wednesday. Periodic heavy rain may occur until that event tapers off Friday. Flooding may redevelop or worsen during the late-week period as a result.
