Outlook

A persistent upper-level trough will support afternoon showers and thunderstorms each day through the weekend and into early next week. Moisture will remain high over the next few days, which will maintain the threat of locally heavy rainfall and isolated flooding.

Weather Hazards

Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected again today. Localized flooding will be the main threat from these storms.

1. A westward-moving tropical wave located several hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles continues to produce an area of disorganized cloudiness and showers. Environmental conditions are forecast to become less conducive during the next couple of days, and significant development of this system is not anticipated.
