GENERAL OUTLOOK

A few thunderstorms are expected today and Monday as well. A cold front passing Tuesday may bring a risk of severe weather, but also will bring milder and less humid conditions for Wednesday through Friday.

A reminder about the revival that will be taking place from August 13th (today) to the 16th at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts in Franklin.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

• The official hurricane season for the Atlantic basin is from June 1 to November 30, but tropical cyclone activity sometimes occurs before and after these dates, respectively. The peak of the Atlantic hurricane season is September 10, with most activity occurring between mid-August and mid-October.
