Hazards and Tropical Weather
Additional heavy-rain producing showers and thunderstorms are expected on Tuesday and Tuesday night. The threat of localized flash flooding along streams and nuisance flooding of poor drainage areas will continue.
Tropical System Idalia is forecast to make landfall on the Florida Gulf Coast Wednesday morning and cross the coastal waters of South Carolina Wednesday night. On this track, any gusty winds or heavier rain bands would impact the lower Piedmont areas. Be aware that any westward shifts in the forecast track would increase the potential for wind and rain impacts in our area from Idalia.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters are requested to forward any reports of large hail, damaging winds, tornadoes, or flash flooding to our office.
