Weekend Weather Briefing for Saturday, September 09, 2023

OUTLOOK

A cold front will stall over the area through the weekend keeping shower and thunderstorm chances in place with below normal temperatures. The front slides east Monday with slight drying and near normal temperatures. Another cold front arrives by Wednesday bringing a return of shower and thunderstorms chances and below normal temperatures. Dry and cooler high pressure moves in for Thursday and Friday.

Hazardous Weather

Widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and evening. A few storms may become strong to severe, with damaging winds being the primary hazard. Plentiful moisture combined with slow moving storms may also lead to locally heavy rainfall, which may result in isolated flooding.
