Daily Weather Briefing for Wednesday, June 14, 2017

Subtropical high pressure centered to our east will continue to weaken, allowing increasing moisture to spread over the forecast area from the south. Chances for showers and thunderstorms will increase each day through the work week and remain elevated through the weekend. A more well-defined cold front is expected to approach the area early next week.

The Macon County Commissioners voted 3-2 to pass the county budget for the fiscal year that runs from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018. Video of the meeting will be posted on the blog later this morning, at around 7 am. [LINK
