National Weather Service Hazardous Weather Briefing for December 5, 2018

That National Weather Service in Greenville, SC has released a Hazardous Weather Briefing for the upcoming winter weather event. The packet has been embedded below for your convenience. It includes their current thoughts on how much snow we'll get. Right now, they're thinking most of us in Macon County will only get 2 to 3 inches of snow and the southeastern sector receiving 6 to 12 inches of snow. They're also predicting minimal icing.

Just be aware that we are still 3 to 4 days away from this event, and conditions could change. So, if you need to make preparations for a snow event, please get those things done before Friday.
