Daily Weather Briefing for Wednesday, January 1, 2020

Outlook

Expect dry and cooler weather today courtesy of high pressure moving over the region. Another storm system will bring abundant moisture to the southeast Thursday through at least Friday night, with an upper low moving through on Saturday. High pressure is expected to move in from the west late in the weekend and continue into the start of next week.

6th Annual Ruby Drop

The 6th annual Ruby Drop took place last night/this morning on Main Street in Franklin. Several area businesses stayed open late to cater to the people who spent the evening in town to mark the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020. Live music was also available at a stage that was erected on Main Street. Video and photos of the event are posted below.
