Macon County Board of Commissioners Emergency Meeting Announced

The Macon County Board of Commissioners will be holding an emergency meeting on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 3pm. Macon Media will stream the meeting live.

To The Macon Co. Board of Commissioners:

I am asking that consideration be given immediately to the many VRBO properties in and around our community. There are many people arriving here to seek refuge and many of us feel that this should be given your prompt attention. We are facing uncharted waters in dealing with COVID-19 and we feel the influx will compromise our being able to support our local community members needs. There are also many homeowners in country clubs whose families are coming from larger cities to "seek refuge" and how can we manage that legally and enforce it.
