A series of weak disturbances will cross the area today and tomorrow, with showers and thunderstorms likely. Temperatures will fall to below normal by Thursday, cooling off even more by the weekend.

Showers and scattered thunderstorms are expected to return across the area this afternoon and evening. Some of the storms will become severe with damaging winds, large hail, and even an isolated tornado possible. Heavy rainfall is also expected with some of the storms leading to the potential for isolated flooding.
