Second Republican Primary Results
A runoff election for the 11th Congressional District took place yesterday. Madison Cawthorn defeated Lynda Bennett 30,444 to 15,806 with 12.02% (46,724 out of 388,862) of eligible voters participating. Cawthorn, a Republican, will face candidates in the Democratic, Green, and Libertarian parties to determine who fills the seat left empty by Mark Meadows when he resigned to become Chief of Staff to President Donald Trump.
