Structure Fire at Liberty Wood Products

There is a report of a structure fire at 874 Iotla Church Road (Liberty Wood Products). The caller reports fire coming through the roof.

EMS, Burningtown-Iotla, and Franklin VFDs have been dispatched.

Please use caution around this area for the next couple of hours or so.

**6.14am** A firefighter reports half the building isi nvolved in fire. A gate will have to be cut to gail access to the area. Mountain Valley VFD has been called to assist.

Nearest water point is a creek at the corner of IIotla Church Road and Bennett Road. Units will be using water from near the bridge to supply water for this fire.

EOC reports no response from Mountain Valley, asks what VFD to call nest. Command requests Clarks Chapel VFD to respond, bring an additional tanker.

Otto, Cullasaja Gorge, and West Macon VFDs dispatched.

Command reports entry is being made by a team of firefighters for an interior attack

Command has requested the school system divert their traffic around Iotla Church Road.

The interior attack crew reports they have made significant progress on the fire. Are requesting more personnel so crews can be rotated.

The NC Highway Patrol has requested a BOLO be put out for a Goldish Brown Dodge Van with Liberty Products on the side.

In order to avoid getting caught up in the water shuttle traffic, please avoid the section of Iotla Church Road between Bennett Road and the entrance to Liberty Wood Products.
