Here is the news and weather briefing for Macon County.

GENERAL OUTLOOK

A nearly stationary front will meander across our region through Saturday providing a focus for above normal chances of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will be below normal. Afternoon and evening shower and thunderstorm chances return to seasonal normals to start next week. Temperatures rise back to normal as well.

Excessive rainfall could occur in isolated locations, resulting in flash flooding of streams and urban areas.
