Outlook

A cold front will pass over the region from the west today bringing increased chances of rain. Strong and dry high pressure returns Friday which will linger through the weekend. By late Monday...A moist frontal system should reach the North Carolina mountains and cross east of the region early Tuesday.

Very gusty northwest winds are expected to develop across the higher elevations tonight behind a departing cold front. The very gusty winds will continue Friday then slowly diminish Friday night. A Wind Advisory may be needed.
