GENERAL OUTLOOK
A cold front approaches from the west this morning before tracking over the area later today. This front will bring gusty winds to the entire forecast area with light rain chances mainly confined to the mountains and the I-40 corridor. Cooler and drier weather returns the rest of the week for most locations, with well below normal temperatures returning by the weekend.

Snow showers expected tonight with light accumulations of 1-3 inches possible at the higher elevations, especially in the western and northern parts of the county. Additionally, gusty winds of 30-40 mph likely for the mountains overnight with isolated higher gusts at the mountain peaks..
