GENERAL OUTLOOK

A weak cold front moves across the region today with a bit of rain, mainly over the mountains. Dry conditions return for the weekend with a stronger cold front arriving by Saturday night. Cooler temperatures from Sunday into early next week.

..FRIDAY...Sunny, breezy with highs around 50. Winds out of the northwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, becoming west 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 25 mph in the afternoon.
..FRIDAY NIGHT...Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 30s. Winds out of the west 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 25 mph, increasing to 35 mph after midnight.
..SATURDAY...Mostly sunny and windy. Highs in the upper 40s. Winds out of the west 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER

Conditions will remain dry and winds will be in the 20 to 30 mph range in the valleys and 30 to 50 mph on the ridgetops and on the Highlands Plateau this afternoon and evening, so outdoor burning is no reccomended today. There will be an increased risk that fires will get out of control.
