GENERAL OUTLOOK
Broad surface high pressure will keep dry and cool conditions in place thru Monday. A moist cold front will bring showers and possibly some thunderstorms to our area late Tuesday and early Wednesday. In the wake of the front, gusty winds will persist over our area on Wednesday and Thursday. A weaker low pressure reaches our region next weekend.

..TUESDAY NIGHT...Showers likely in the evening, then showers after midnight. Locally heavy rainfall possible after midnight. Windy and not as cool with lows in the upper 40s. Winds out of the southeast 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 55 mph. Chance of rain near 100 percent.
..WEDNESDAY...Partly sunny. Showers, mainly in the morning. Breezy with highs in the mid 50s. Chance of rain 80 percent.

There is an increased danger of fires getting out of control in the region today and tonight. Please do not conduct ANY outdoor burnuing today.
A strong low pressure system will lift out of the Great Plains on Tuesday and pass to our north on Wednesday. This system will push a robust cold front through our area Wednesday morning. This front will likely produce widespread showers and possibly some thunderstorms as it moves across our area. In the front`s wake, very gusty winds will spread over the region and likely persist well into Thursday. If the current forecast trends continue, a Wind Advisory and/or a High Wind Warning may be needed for our forecast area.
