Behind The Latest Ann Coulter Controversey: Lefties Hate God

For those of you who have been under a rock recently...Ann Coulter has been found guilty of teaching correct Church Doctrine to the Heathens. More specifically, she has said Jews that accepted Christ would be perfected Jews. Now, I ask, "What is wrong with that?"

That has been taught to me from the Bible since before I could walk. As a Christian who believes that Jesus was the ONLY begotten Son of God, and before or beside Him there are no other, and I believe that the Born Again have been adopted by God during the Age of Grace so us Gentiles get a chance to join the Kingdom of God. Before then, it was only open to Jews or children who died before the age of accountability.

That is my faith, to which I hold onto. Progressives will call it hate. In fact they even blast their own Democrat Congressman Shuler when he practices his faith.

The issue surfaced when a young man, Paul Larochelle of Ohio, requested a flag be flown over the Capitol in honor of his grandfather’s “dedication and love of God, Country and family.”

Mr. Larochelle’s certificate was returned from the Architect’s office with the word “God” removed.

I believed that this restriction was an unnecessary restriction on our citizens’ right to openly and freely practice their religion.

In response, I sent a letter to the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi yesterday morning asking her to examine the policies and procedures of the Architect of the Capitol that were preventing the word “God,” and other religious references from being on the certificates that the accompany flags flown over the Capitol.

My letter pointed out that the Congress has passed numerous resolutions recognizing the importance of religion in the lives of Americans and that the House of Representatives clearly supports the right of the people to openly practice their faith.

As a person of faith and an elected member of this Congress, I strongly disagreed with the Architect’s prohibition of the word “God” from flag certificates and asked the Speaker to examine the authority under which he was making this policy.

I am happy to report that today the Architect’s Office announced the rules had been revised and the prohibition of religious language has been removed.

Responses like this convinces me that most of these people do not even read the post to which they respond...I've seen it here on numerous occasions, the progressives just fire away in anger. This retard obviously has a reading comprehension problem, and/or hates God. He/She/It did not comprehend this sentence from Congressman Shuler's Post: "I believed that this restriction was an unnecessary restriction on our citizens’ right to openly and freely practice their religion."
When these people hear a professed Christian say these words, they hear only what they want to hear.

I trust that mention of God will be at the request of the recipient only. I also trust that, should a recipient wish to invoke the name of Allah, Krishna, Amun-Re, Marduk, Astarte or any other deity, the request would be honored.

I recognize that an America where all are free to practice their religions (including Christianity), is a boon to all.



They very same people thought it was very good that another Congressman expressed his faith by swearing an oath on the Qur'an in January of this year. I can't help but wonder what they would be saying if the Capitol Architect had refused a constituent request to have a reference to allah placed in the certificate? I can almost guarantee you they would be outraged.

This is one reason the progressives have had a hard row to hoe in the redstates, and in the South: they hate the God of Christianity, and they view people not as individuals, but as a member of a group...and seek to divide the resulting groups against the other, and try to keep themselves as the Alpha Group to which all other groups must depend upon for protection against (you fill in the blank).

Now back to the latest attack on Ann practicing Free Speech, I will leave you with the words of the local Blogging Superstar, Hillbilly White Trash:

What Ann said simply reflects clear biblical New Testament theology as regards salvation in that all people, Jew and Gentile alike, who wish to be saved from their sins and have eternal life in the presence of God must place their faith in Jesus Christ and acknowledge his deity, his atoning death on the cross, his resurrection from the dead and his eventual return. Rather than being somehow "anti-Jewish" this teaching is imminently Jewish.

Christians believe that in order to be saved that one must worship a Jew, Jesus Christ, as God. They believe that the Hebrew God sent the Jew Jesus to the Jewish nation in fulfillment of Jewish prophecies given in the Jewish bible to offer the Jews the promised Jewish millennial kingdom. Obviously a doctrine which could only be held by people who are filled up to the nose holes with hatred for the Jews. [snort]

Mr. Baehr then goes on to imply that anyone who holds a biblically correct view of salvation cannot be a supporter of Israel. Mr. Baehr needs to review the history of the second half of the 20th century. The more literally one takes the Bible the more likely he is to be a supporter of Israel. Biblical literalists believe not only what the Bible teaches about salvation but also what it says about supporting Israel and the Jews. God promises the Jews that he will bless those who bless them and curse those who curse them (Genesis 12:3).

For an example of how this blessing and cursing can work itself out consider Berlin before and after Germany's attempted "final solution to the Jewish problem". Before a beautiful and prosperous city and after a pile of smoking rubble full of Red Army soldiers. This is your nation. This is your nation on antisemitism. Any questions?

Rail transit is a huge waste of money that harms transit riders and mainly benefits a few politically powerful interest groups, such as rail contractors, at the expense of ordinary taxpayers. Transit has performed so poorly in the two dozen U.S. urban areas with rail service that it's hard to find any real success stories.

So expensive are rail lines to build, maintain and operate that most rail regions have, at some point, been forced to significantly raise fares and/or curtail bus services, often leading to a loss of transit riders.

Thanks in part to the high cost of rails, transit systems in Atlanta, Baltimore, Buffalo, Chicago, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, and the San Francisco Bay Area carried fewer riders in 2005 than two decades before.

Los Angeles lost 17 percent of its bus riders when it began building rail transit, a decline reversed only when the NAACP successfully sued the region's transit agency for favoring white neighborhoods with rail service while cutting bus service to black and Hispanic neighborhoods.

Due to financial stresses caused by the high cost of rail transit, San Jose cut its transit service by 20 percent and lost a third of its transit riders.

The mass transit system in Portland, Ore., carries only 7.6 percent of the region's commuters, down from 9.8 percent before rail construction began.

The subway in Washington, D.C., is wonderful for tourists, but not commuters: Though the region gained more than 100,000 jobs between 1990 and 2000, the transit system lost more than 20,000 daily commuters.

Many people who support rail transit hope other people will ride it, leaving less congested roads for everyone else. But rail systems that lose transit ridership or transit's share of travel make congestion worse, not better.

As Charlotte has discovered, building a rail system is far more complicated than simply providing excellent bus service. Rail construction requires long-range forecasts of revenues, costs and ridership trends -- forecasts that are almost invariably wrong. As a result, rail projects go an average of 40 percent over budget and end up carrying an average of 35 percent fewer riders than projected.

Nor is rail the environmental panacea its advocates promise. Light rail may seem to use less energy and emit less pollution than buses or cars. But rail lines must be supplemented by feeder buses that tend to run much emptier than the corridor buses the rail lines replaced. Empty buses mean high energy use and pollution per passenger, so the transit system as a whole ends up consuming more energy and producing more pollution, per passenger, than if it ran only buses.

Transit advocates brag that transit produces less carbon monoxide than autos. But carbon monoxide is no longer a serious environmental threat. Today's problems are nitrogen oxides, particulates and greenhouse gases. Diesel buses, and rail cars whose electric power comes from burning coal, produce far more of these pollutants than today's automobiles.

For all these reasons, Charlotte should stop building new rail lines. In fact, the best use of the line now under construction might be to pave it over and convert it to exclusive bus lanes. Those bus lanes could move more people at far lower financial and environmental costs than the multibillion-dollar rail network that the Charlotte Area Transit System wants to complete.

Media and Congressional Assistance to the Jihad

The News Media, and the Left (But I Repeat Myself !), have been seeking ways to undermine the war effort against the jihadis since it began. They are continuing their tradition to assist the enemy just like during the Third World War (The Cold War) by many means. They have denied it was a war, they have blamed us, they have attempted to deny funding for the war, they have smeared our troops, and any who support them and their mission.

I have long asserted that Haditha was a hoax, that our soldiers acted bravely. The Media, and Ally in the Jihad Against the West, Congressman Jack Murtha, have told bald-faced lies about our fine soldiers. I have repeatedly called Jihadi Murtha's Office, and asked when he was going to apologize for taking part in operations against our government. I usually get hung up on within a minute or so.

Now, a movie is going to be released from an Artsy Lefty about Haditha:

No surprise who the villain will be: Marines. He told Time Out magazine, "Their (Marines') standard operating procedure rules are so f---ing hard-core. If, for example, a house is described as 'hostile,' then you just kill everyone in the house. It doesn't matter if it contains 2-year-olds or the elderly."

Since there's an investigation under way, Broomfield won't use real names. He says he wants to be fair to the Marines; I say he doesn't want to get sued. This true regisseur (regisseur is what you call a director who makes movies that only students attending film school will voluntarily sit through) views a greater cause from his humble masterpiece. A bigger picture, if you will.

"I think there have been lots of Hadithas, and there are lots of Hadithas every year."

The screen goes black, violins play and the credits roll.

But this is where reality and entertainment part ways because there are so many details that would ruin the good vs. evil plot. Broomfield probably won't tell you the previously mentioned "young journalism student" was actually a 46-year-old founder of a new "human rights group" that only had one other member. Or that the video of the "massacre" was handed over to the press four months after it was shot.

A high-drama film may not want to mention that the Time Out magazine writer, Tim McGirk, refused to testify during the Marines' hearing, possibly because his testimony under oath could make him and his publication liable for legal action. Former Marine and Rep. John Murtha himself will have to answer directly to a judge for his public comments.

"They actually went into the houses and killed women and children," the Pennsylvania congressman said. Murtha has yet to acknowledge that the majority of Marines have already been cleared of any wrongdoing.

Just to show how committed the director is to accuracy, Broomfield will shoot "The Battle for Haditha" in neighboring Jordan.

"We didn't go to Haditha itself; it was too dangerous," he explained.

Of course, the danger will not come from the Marines Broomfield will smear in his film, but more likely from the type of people who got shot during the alleged "massacre," or as Broomfield calls them, the heroes of the story.

"I'm sure it happens on a lesser scale every single day," Broomfield told a journalist. The British director may already see himself clutching an Oscar for best foreign film, even if only a handful of theaters show his work.

Surprisingly, the people of Haditha remember a different massacre than the man who has never actually visited the city. In 2005, terrorists assaulted a police station, led 20 police officers to a soccer field, placed them on their knees and shot each one in the back of the head.

Witnesses said the executioners removed the heads from the bodies and then kicked them around like soccer balls. The public killing of the officers were just the tip of the iceberg. Terrorists had previously killed the mayor, his son, a police chief and three members of his family. The script for this Haditha massacre will never be written, because for the artists who have a point to prove about truth and justice, fantasy is a lot more entertaining.

That is just one of the many examples of a Media ready, willing, and able to assist the jihadis in their Jihad Against the West. CNN will blur photos of a cartoon for fear of provoking typical Muslim rage, and their machinations to expose the hiding place of an artist to their ally jihadis:

You can see the full image at right in situ, which we have here thanks to the quick thinking of Carpenter, who scanned it and sent it to us on August 22nd, the day it hit the newsstands.

But this wasn’t the first Modoggie to appear; there were plenty before the one printed by Nerikes Allehanda. This one was #6 of the drawings I collected, and I didn’t borrow all of them. As I predicted, the trouble didn’t start until a Modoggie found its way into the MSM. Ever since then that particular one, #6, has continued to be the focus of Islamic outrage and the attention of the Western media.

I can’t improve on the conclusion that Allahpundit draws from this whole affair:

See what’s going on here? After the disgraceful western media blackout of the Danish cartoons, CNN obviously felt it had to make some gesture towards showing the viewers the offending work. But not only didn’t they have the balls to show the offending part, they were sufficiently worried about being accused of, ahem, “Islamophobia” for the part that they did show that they went ahead and put up the drawing of Christ — which has nothing to do with the threat to Vilks — just to prove that they’re equal opportunity offenders.


So they blur out a Rondellhund drawing, but they prominently display the name of the town that Lars Vilks is “hiding” in. Three cheers for journalistic integrity!

Never forget that the Left (including the Media) wants us to lose this war very badly, and will tell any lie, over report set backs, or ignore good news in order to get that accomplished. This is part of the reason I have re-arranged my life so that I go to bed around 8pn and wake up between 2am and 3am nearly every morning: to seek out and report on news that the Media wish to suppress, to report on what they are twisting, to find links to others who are doing a far better job at it than I ever could. I subscribe to over a thousand blogs, and nearly 400 news sources in various online readers in an effort to do an end-run around my molasses-speed dial-up, and in an attempt to stand at the firehose of data...trying to spoon out relevant data ignored or discarded by the Lefty Media-types.

Al Gore Wins Nobel Peace Prize

OSLO, Norway -- Former Vice President Al Gore and the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change have won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts to spread awareness of man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures needed to counteract it.

Gore, who won an Academy Award this year for his film "An Inconvenient Truth," a documentary on global warming, had been widely expected to win the prize.

Climate change has moved high on the international agenda this year. The U.N. climate panel has been releasing reports, talks are set to resume on a replacement for the Kyoto Protocol, and there is concern about the melting Arctic.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee said global warming, "may induce large-scale migration and lead to greater competition for the earth's resources. Such changes will place particularly heavy burdens on the world's most vulnerable countries. There may be increased danger of violent conflicts and wars, within and between states."

Jan Egeland, a Norwegian peace mediator and former U.N. undersecretary for humanitarian affairs, also called climate change more than an environmental issue.

Macon County Schoolboard Violated Campaign Laws

I thought there was something fishy about all the yellow snipe campaign sides that have sprouted like so many flowers across the county...

After the School Board has been promoting the school bond referendum for more than a month, representatives with a referendum committee have filed with the Board of Elections. The Macon County School Board has promoted the $42.1 million bond for new schools through yard signs, billboards, brochures and flyers that have been sent home with Macon County School children, in addition to several educational public forums.

According to Kim Bishop, Macon County Board of Elections Director, as of Monday she wasn’t aware of who was putting the signs up. Yellow yard signs, which read “Vote Yes for Children, November 6, School Bond Referendum” have appeared on roadsides in several areas of the county over the past few weeks including in front of county schools.

Several billboards with the same message have also been posted throughout the county, including three on the Highlands Road in Franklin.

According to the Macon County News coverage of the August 13 meeting, Chairman Donnie Edwards “proposed they set aside some funds for advertising and the Board voted to allocate $5,000 to cover signs, flyers, radio spots and newspaper advertising.”

Brigman said he has worked in “several districts that have used this approach,” and didn’t believe that it violated any laws. “We’ve got to get the word out on the bond referendum,” said Brigman Monday. He said Pamela Collins, Macon Community Schools Organizer, was in charge of advertising.

As of Monday, Bishop said that it’s obvious the group is doing slogans and advertising how to vote regarding the school bond referendum, which requires them to register as a political action committee. “If this group or individuals are spending money, they need to do campaign finance reports with our office.”

According to the NC Campaign Finance Statutes regarding campaign or referendum advertising, a committee must be formed and is required appoint a treasurer, have a name, and maintain all financial reports on money they are spending and/or receiving.

Under NCGS 163.278.14A, the use of the phrase “vote for” in ads is “evidence of public communications ‘to support or oppose’” an election and falls under the requirement that a group or committee files and submits financing with the Board of Elections.

“Obviously, with the signs, they are spending money,” said Bishop.

U.S. Rep. Heath Shuler wants to reconsider banning "God."

The Waynesville Democrat has asked Speaker Nancy Pelosi to revisit a prohibition on the word God or other religious references from certificates that accompany flags flown over the U.S. Capitol.

As reported by The Hill, a Capitol Hill newspaper, a GOP congressman from Ohio became upset when God was removed from the requested writing submitted by one of his constituents.

The House Administration Committee responded this week by proposing a compromise that would let members of Congress submit writing that includes religious references. Pelosi's office supports the idea. Shuler sent Pelosi a letter asking her to take a look at the policy.

"I believe that this restriction is an unnecessary restriction on our citizens' right to openly and freely practice their religion," he wrote.

He added later, "As a person of faith and an elected member of this Congress, I strongly disagree with the Architect's prohibition of the word 'God' from flag certificates and ask that you examine the authority under which he is making this policy."

Constituents can pay to have flags flown over the U.S. Capitol dome and then shipped to them with accompanying certificates. According to The Hill, the Architect of the Capitol formalized its policy on certificate language in 2003.

Now we find out from our colleague The Prowler here at The American Spectator that Congressman Henry Waxman, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee "has asked his investigative staff to begin compiling reports on Limbaugh, and fellow radio hosts Sean Hannity and Mark Levin based on transcripts from their shows, and to call in Federal Communications chairman Kevin Martin to discuss the so-called 'Fairness Doctrine.'" A Democratic House leadership aide says flatly that "Limbaugh isn't the only one who needs to be made uncomfortable about what he says on the radio."


LET'S STAND BACK and take a look at the pattern formed by all these individual dots. What has George Soros' money been used to pay for?

Billionaire George Soros is attempting nothing less than a takeover and remolding of America after his own image, and the destruction of everything of a Judeo-Christian nature in our society. We should be shining a light on him, his associates, and his organizations; and should that fail, resist him with every tool at our disposal. Should his people gain the White House, America will reap the whirlwind.

He got his first chance when he was finally admitted to the Fabian Socialist London School of Economics in 1949. He had been a little down, but he wasn't out. Still empowered by his narrow escapes from the Nazis and the Soviets, he was perfectly poised at the threshold of revelation, and he indeed got one. Not from God, but from another atheist, Karl Popper. Writing for the Atlantic Monthly in "The Capitalist Threat," Soros says that Popper's analysis of the "Open Society" "struck me with the force of revelation."

Writing for the Atlantic Monthly in 1997, Soros explained his "visionary" Open Society and its values:

Moreover, the open society as a universal concept transcends all boundaries. Societies derive their cohesion from shared values. These values are rooted in culture, religion, history and tradition. And there you have it. Since there will be no external immutable source such as God from which to derive morality and values, those one-world, anything-goes people are going to need something to hold them together, something upon which to focus. But they have nothing but circular logic. Which means there are no limits at all.

There are some compelling similarities between Tivadar's pseudo-religion, Esperanto, and George's new religion, the Open Society.

Both are ideologies that espouse man as supreme, especially over God. Both depend upon internationalism over the nation-state concept. Both require the destruction of individual cultures and traditions. Both demand a tyrannical tolerance for every idea being treated in absolute equal fashion.

In other words, George Soros did not really find a new religion; he just found essentially the same one as his father, minus the vehicle of language. A sort of Kingdom of Babel with qualities of Sodom and Gomorrah thrown into the mix. No wonder he has found such a warm home with the aging hippie class; they all adhere to the same creed. I spend far to much time reading lefty blogs and message board threads. Every once in a while, I run into posts that have a blind spot so large I can walk through...and here is the latest example:

Ya know, I've been following what Malkin, Free Republic, Riehl and the like have been doing to Graeme Frost's family. I can't post much of anything on it, because any honest, no-holds-barred post I write about it right now would probably get me arrested. It's one of those little things about living in a civilized society -- sometimes you have to know where the boundaries are. And yet, there are continual examples of other people that don't have any boundaries at all.

Hunter, the Kos Kid, seems unaware that if you tell a lie on the public stage anymore, you will be found out. Hunter seems perfectly willing to allow a lie to be told if the template is correct. That kind of bigoted thinking gets us the Duke Rape Case, The forged documents that got Dan Rather fired, and a kid who is sent to a private school for $20,000 a year (and his sister, too!) who cannot afford health care because his parents are too stupid to shop around, and do basic research any competent high school kid should be able to do.

A Freeper, icwhatudo, did some basic research on the family, and exposed the lie. Now the Left is Livid with Rage:

There aren't any words to express what I really think about these shambling dermoid cysts dressing themselves up as humans. I certainly hope, in the back corners of my mind, that one or more of them gets accidentally hit by a runaway beer truck, or dissolved in cartoon-strength acid, or slowly eaten by a bear while having to listen to intellectual half-fart Jonah Goldberg read some of his worst goddamn grade-school-level columns aloud the whole time. That'd be a start: we could go from there, anyway, in our efforts to imagine some small measure of karmic retribution for the malevolence these people celebrate every day.

These people think the premise of not doing the worst possible thing to even the smallest political enemy at every possible opportunity would be nothing but an act of weakness. God help them and me both, but I sincerely hope they someday find themselves on the receiving end of the same treatment. They lack all semblances of human empathy: like exceptionally vicious and stupid dogs, punishment in-kind would be the only way they would ever learn. No, that is not true -- dogs do learn from kindness. In the entire animal kingdom, only conservatives do not.

It's long past time for people to stop treating Fox-style, Malkin-style, Limbaugh-style conservatism as merely a "political" phenomenon. It may once have been, but it isn't now. As of this millennium, it's nothing but a hate movement with neckties. Protofascism with bright, patriotic logos. Stop treating it with anything but revulsion and disdain. Stop pretending for even a bare moment that they are anything more than thugs.

I'm surprised a blood vessel does not burst in Hunter's forehead as he (or she) spews filth from a black hearted hatred of people who have exposed the latest lie from the left. His (or her) anger would be best directed at the buffoons who came up with the idea in the first place, not the people who exposed the lie, unless Hunter agrees that his (or her) cause necessitates the telling of lies in order to make it palatable to the masses. (Reminds me of the Soviet Union or Nazi Germany, Militarist Japan, or Islamofacism)

I feel pity for these people who have been filled to the brim (and overflowing) with lies, false philosophies, and hatred for everything that has built our nation into the greatest source of wealth, charity, and freedom the world has ever seen.

I think that conservatism should begin it's own Long March into the Institutions of Our Society, and rescue these poor people from their fate, and our nation from oblivion.

77WABC announced today, the return of John Batchelor to the WABC lineup. John will take over the 7-10pm slot on Sunday night, which has been occupied by Brian Whitman.

Brian will continue with a variety of roles on WABC including frequent substitution assignments, and his comedy voice work for the Sean Hannity show. “Brian has worked for WABC since 1996, when he joined us on overnights at the age of 24, the youngest major market talk show host in America,” said WABC PD Phil Boyce. “Brian is a part of the WABC family and that will not change with this move,” Boyce continued. Brian is a much sought after morning show voice talent, with clients all over the country, as well as the Sean Hannity Show. Brian also will continue to host his regular weeknight show he co-hosts on KLSX-FM, the CBS owned talker in Los Angeles.

The President stated it best on why he vetoed the bill:

This bill would shift SCHIP away from its original purpose and turn it into a program that would cover children from some families of four earning almost $83,000 a year. In addition, under this bill, government coverage would displace private health insurance for many children. If this bill were enacted, one out of every three children moving onto government coverage would be moving from private coverage. The bill also does not fully fund all its new spending, obscuring the true cost of the bill's expansion of SCHIP, and it raises taxes on working Americans.

Because the Congress has chosen to send me a bill that moves our health care system in the wrong direction, I must veto it. I hope we can now work together to produce a good bill that puts poorer children first, that moves adults out of a program meant for children, and that does not abandon the bipartisan tradition that marked the enactment of SCHIP. Our goal should be to move children who have no health insurance to private coverage, not to move children who already have private health insurance to government coverage.

Saturday's protest, sponsored by the Troops Out Now Coalition, came two weeks after an antiwar event sponsored by the ANSWER Coalition, which drew roughly 10,000 people. ANSWER also sponsored a rally in March.

The groups' agendas are similar, opposing what they call "imperialist" U.S. policy not only in Iraq but toward countries like Cuba and Iran -- which has alienated some supporters.

"There's all of these peripheral issues that you're going to be associated with, whether you want to or not," said Hamilton College history professor Maurice Isserman.

Both groups' leaders were associated with the Workers World Party, which advocates a shift toward a Soviet-style planned economy. But a 2004 dispute prompted some members to form the splinter Party for Socialism and Liberation.

Members of the splinter group stayed active in the ANSWER Coalition, and the remaining members of the Workers World Party formed the Troops Out Now Coalition, Troops Out Now spokesman Dustin Langley said.

conference Wednesday in Sylva to release new information about last week's explosion of a propane tank in the store's camping section. The explosion injured five people.

Carolyn Ryan, dramatically waving a printout of the press release, said the cops will release photos of witnesses or people of interest that they want to talk to. Ryan also talked to one guy who said a store employee told him that it looked like somebody hit the tank with a hammer.

RALEIGH — A group of Buncombe County conservatives, fresh from getting statewide notice for racially charged criticism of a Democratic fundraiser, has itself become a target.

The state Board of Elections said it is investigating whether the Carolina Stompers should be registered as a political committee.


The chairman of the state Democratic Party, Jerry Meek, said he filed a campaign finance complaint Sept. 26 that prompted the review. The group of Republicans should have to disclose how it collects and spends money, he said.

“Who’s supporting this group, and why aren’t they obeying the law like every other political organization has to?” Meek asked.

Top House Democrats proposed a "war surtax" on Tuesday to pay for the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, a plan quickly condemned by Republicans and opposed by House leadership. The surtax would be "a percentage of your tax bill," said House Appropriations Committee Chairman Dave Obey, D-Wisconsin. "And if you don't like the cost, then shut down the war." "I think we would all like the option of directly challenging Washington waste when we don't like the cost", shared Mumpower. Highlighting that annual congressional spending has increased to $24,106 per American household, Mumpower noted "Selective calls for tax dollar accountability ring a little hollow from two parties equally willing to borrow on tomorrow for the special interests of today."

I will add that you can take high-res photos of documents that you may need later.

AUDIO--Media Matters Edits Bill O'Reilly and Juan Williams

The Lefty Lie Machine is at it again (as if they ever stop!), and this time their target is none other than Bill "The Bloviator" O'Reilly.

Example:

During the September 19 edition of his nationally syndicated radio program, discussing his recent trip to have dinner with Rev. Al Sharpton at Sylvia's, a famous restaurant in Harlem, Bill O'Reilly reported that he "had a great time, and all the people up there are tremendously respectful," adding: "I couldn't get over the fact that there was no difference between Sylvia's restaurant and any other restaurant in New York City. I mean, it was exactly the same, even though it's run by blacks, primarily black patronship." Later, during a discussion with National Public Radio senior correspondent and Fox News contributor Juan Williams about the effect of rap on culture, O'Reilly asserted: "There wasn't one person in Sylvia's who was screaming, 'M-Fer, I want more iced tea.' You know, I mean, everybody was -- it was like going into an Italian restaurant in an all-white suburb in the sense of people were sitting there, and they were ordering and having fun. And there wasn't any kind of craziness at all." O'Reilly also stated: "I think black Americans are starting to think more and more for themselves. They're getting away from the Sharptons and the [Rev. Jesse] Jacksons and the people trying to lead them into a race-based culture. They're just trying to figure it out. 'Look, I can make it. If I work hard and get educated, I can make it."

This is the audio where I have combined the audio from the Radio Factor in the right channel with the Media Matters edited audio in the left channel (get it?), and when played, you can hear the edits that take the show out of context, and remove both Bill and Juan discussing racism from the audio. I also had to synch the audio in a couple of places because of audio clipping in the Media Matters segment. I also placed the edits in correct chronological order, after lowering the volume in the left channel once you get the idea that Media Matters has edited out several minutes of conversation between Bill and Juan.

I was clued in on this event by a Lefty in a discussion group who has, in all likelyhood, never listened to a complete two hour show of The Radio Factor. I have. I discovered the show a couple of years ago when I purchased my XM Radio, and listened to the show when I am in an area where I cannot hear Rush Limbaugh, which includes pretty much everything west of Hazelwood in Haywood County.


I am also a very vociferous destroyer of white supremacists, and do not tolerate any form of racism, whether it be anti-black, anti-white, anti-asian, or any of the "invented" races out there.

The latest victim of the PC police is once again Bill O’Reilly. O’Reilly gets called every name in the book because he stands for something…anything…and does not bow before the god of conventional wisdom and political correctness. If you watch his show long enough or hear his daily radio program you will know that the man is for the most part fair. He can be sensationalist (Chris Benoit), at times or over-the-top, (flat buns) but on average I believe that he is a social crusader trying to bring important stories to light that would otherwise be ignored in the mainstream media. I don’t always agree with him but I think he is an important voice in the national conversation.

When he is not commentating on hard news of the day, he will pose a philosophical or social question that is relevant to modern society. Recently he dealt with the unnecessarily sticky widget that is race relations. He attempted to make the argument that false perceptions of people different than you can lead to fear, which ultimately leads to hatred and violence. Racism is the belief and/or practice that your race is superior to all others or a certain other and that the inferior races should be treated as such with specific actions to intimidate or control said inferior race. Racism is perpetuated by myths and stereotypes that are played to and broadcasted by a power structure that seeks to maintain the status quo; for example, whites should be in charge and have lots of money that the government can’t have, blacks should serve and entertain.

On his radio show he sought to introduce this topic of discussion by telling his story about how he and race baiter par excellence Rev. Al Sharpton went to a famous soul food restaurant in Harlem. This appears to be the damning comment he made in the entire 10 minute monologue, “I couldn’t get over the fact that there was no difference between Sylvia’s restaurant and any other restaurant in New York City. I mean, it was exactly the same, even though it’s run by blacks, primarily black patronship.”

And with the words, “I couldn’t get over…” Bill O’Reilly, who dines with Al Sharpton and converses with Juan Williams (both black liberals), metamorphoses into Bill O’Racist hater of the black man far and wide. I’ve actually seen real racists before and have experienced real racism. Those folks don’t treat Al Sharpton for dinner in a Harlem soul food restaurant…ever.

These charges of racism by Media Matters and other venues are completely without context. By assigning that tag to him it negates truly racist behavior. Even if you will not give O’Reilly the benefit of the doubt by virtue of his association and history with ACTUAL BLACK PEOPLE, then you must at least use the word properly. If there is no action to back up the feeling or thought then there is no racism. O’Reilly made an observation. It was arguably a bit obtuse but that is the vernacular of talk radio. If he were too professorial he’d lose the majority of his audience and more importantly, his advertisers.

He did not utter the words, “I couldn’t get over…” and then add, “So I think what needs to happen here is a good hanging from the nearest Central Park tree.” I believe that O’Reilly is suffering from a social disease but it’s not racism. The social disease in question is assuming the worst about others. This hypersensitiveness that seeks to choke the life out of meaningful discourse comes from people with a lynch mob mentality who, to cover their own failings and weaknesses, accuse others of the most vile things possible. If you truly believe that what O’Reilly said, in the context he was saying it, in all of its nuance, was that hurtful and intentionally racist, one must wonder what baggage you are carrying yourself. How do you get up in the morning and make it out the front door being that raw and easily wounded?

Media Matters--Lefty Liars Lying How you can help stop these liars

Media Matters is at it again (as if they've ever stopped), and they have attacked Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly this past week.

And this time, they've tricked the Democrats in Congress to propose legislation condemning Rush Limbaugh, which must mean that Maha-Rushdie must've hit them where it hurts.

Last week, two of the leading conservatives in the media, Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly, were dishonestly and unprofessionally attacked by press outlets that cherry-picked out of context remarks from lengthy radio broadcasts in order to vilify outspoken personalities whose opinions they don’t agree with.

Unfortunately, as folks around the country saw this play out on their television sets and newspapers, few were at all familiar with the organization behind the smear campaigns, or that this same group started the firestorm which ended with radio host Don Imus being terminated by NBC and CBS in April.

Maybe more importantly, even fewer citizens are aware that this organization is linked directly to Bill and Hillary Clinton, as well as billionaire leftist George Soros.

For some background, John Perazzo wrote a column for FrontPage Magazine in July entitled “Media Matters: Hillary’s Lap Dogs,” that should be must-reading for all citizens interested in who's targeting America’s leading conservative personalities :

Established in May 2004, Media Matters identifies itself as “a Web-based, not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media”—particularly information “that forwards the conservative agenda.” The organization was founded by the conservative-turned-leftist journalist David Brock, who says he created Media Matters “to combat” what he characterizes as the largely successful effort of “the right wing in this country” to “mov[e] the media itself to the right” and to “mov[e] American politics to the right.”

Commentary

I had no idea this thing was going to blow up as big as it has, I guess there are more ignorant Democrats serving in the Congress than I had believed. I have prepared a post which will go up this morning before 9am where I expose the attack on Bill O'Reilly as a lie, and a smear taken out of context with edited audio from his Sept 19, 2007 show.

I also have the audio from the Rush Limbaugh show in question, but not enough time to take a look at the Media Matters version to see exactly where the edits ( if any ) took place.



See what appeasement gets you? You (the general public) fed Media Matters Don Imus, and now they are back, looking for another sacrifice. Are you going to let them take everyone else, before they come for you? I seem to remember that was how the Gestapo worked...they came for people no one really liked first (Don Imus, others). Now they are back for people they have been spreading lies about...how long will it be before they come for your Free Speech? When they do that (and they will), their will be no one left to defend you.

You can defend Limbaugh. You can defend Bill O'Reilly. You can make up for not defending the idiot Don Imus. There is strength in numbers.

Call your Congress Critter and demand that the Condemnation of Rush Limbaugh be dropped.
And go one step further, call for the investigation of Media Matters.
