...S.P.O.I.L.E.R...W.A.R.N.I.N.G.....

If you haven't seen the episode, and don't want to know what happens...leave now.

This was one of the best episodes so far in the series, easily qualifying for my top ten episodes so far. It was overtly political, and the storyline very good. I agree with Chief Tyrol's actions concerning the working conditions on the Tylium Refinery.
I also agree with Admiral Adama's actions, even to putting Cally up against a wall and having her shot. I am afraid that if I had been in Tyrol's place, I would have told Adama to shoot Cally, then shoot me as well; probably leading to a further splintering of the fleet. If I had been Tyrol and taken the actions he did, I would at some point and time get something back from Adama for threatening to shoot Cally.

I enjoyed the scene with Tyrol and Roslin, and seeing Ceelix being allowed to go to ground school at the end of the episode was, I think, the only episode I can remember that had a good ending.

All you lefties out there can mark this on your calender...I was rooting for the Colonial Workers Union.

I agree, good episode, but I've loved most of the episodes in general since Eye of Jupiter with the focus being back on the fleet and not with the Cylons.

Any other time, any other place, I'd be with you and Tyrell, but with the human race literally on the line, I'd agree with Adama every time. Goes back to Adama's realization post-New-Caprica and his speech in the boxing ring. The fleet got weak. So did Adama. Humanity stopped wanting to survive and began to think things could go back to normal. Not yet. Not until Earth. And I'm glad the old Adama is back now.

Of course, that brings up the debate of "survival at the cost of equality/liberty?" But to be honest, Tyrell was making progress with Roslin (after all, she took his advise on importing others from the fleet the first time). He should've gone back to her again. But he was riding on pure emotioni with Baltar's socialist-screed hanging over his head to boot ;)
