The Peak Oil Myth Exposed

With most of Paul Ehrlich's dire predictions [The Population Bomb, 1968] being wrong:

"The battle to feed humanity is over. In the 1970's and 1980's hundreds of millions of people will starve to deasth in spite of any crash programs embarked upon now."

and Rachel Carson's scare tactics about DDT, [Silent Spring 1962] also being wrong...her call for a ban on DDT killed 43 million in the third world. Now the UN has seen the error, and is now allowing it's use again as an anti-malarial. I've seen illegal aliens employ DDT in, and around their homes and landscaping jobs to control insects. Apparently, they smuggle it across the border with them.

Al Gore's jihad against capitalism has now been exposed as the true purpose behind his Global Warming Scare. [an inconvenient truth, 2006]

Now, another Sacred Cow of Marxism, and Environmentalism, is about to be exposed as well...The Peak Oil Lie.

The New York Times has an excellent front page story on the new technologies that have massively boosted the quantity of oil that can be recovered from heretofore depleted fields. The technological advances have been so rapid that unofficial oil reserve numbers have soared. That, in turn, has put enormous pressure on "peak oil" theory, which holds that global oil production has already peaked or will peak in the next three or four years (for a big list of "peak oil" links, see the right sidebar at the Scrutiny Hooligans).

All this notwithstanding the continued discovery of previously unknown oil supplies.
