Halliburton Chooses The Atlas Shrugged Option

For those who have read Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged," this is a sign that perhaps we should think about our options in contributing to the Criminal Tax Structure of this Nation, and most especially North Carolina.

Through adept use of tax loopholes, I pay virtually zero in taxes. The only places I get soaked are where the taxes are collected at the register, anyhoo, I digress...

The "progressives" do not realize that wealth will flee from where it is wanted. In November and December, I moved my portable assets out of the country because I knew the Dems would be coming for them.

I hope you'll stop using the roads, schools, and utilities maintained with our tax dollars then.

I pay the fuel tax for the vehicles I use.

I am not attending a public school.

I thought my utility bill covered my use of utilities...

There is nothing illegal about what I am doing, it is very similar to "shopping for a deal" at your local supermarket.

Of course, I'm sure you give extra money each year to reduce the debt service of this country out of the goodness of your heart.

Currently, we are on the wrong side of the Laffer Curve...as taxes are too much, and in danger of increasing.

One of my Financial Advisors tells me that he is seeing a lot of money being moved by local people to safe places, and into "safe" investments.
I have been investing since I took a class on penny stocks in high school, and I ain't about to have the government take that money that I have worked hard for...slaving over hard to read technical investing manuals, and laboriously hand-charting price trends.
So far, I have managed to avoid all major corrections of the market, except Oct 1987...and am currently awaiting an Elliot-wave correction that is overdue. The drop we had the other day was nothing, but made good news copy.

I forgot, the expected drop should be to between 10,000 and 11,000 points...then bounce around for a while (that is where the most money can be made daytrading, or only holding a position for a week or two at the most) then start climbing again.

Of course, if Iran, the DPRK, or anyone else hits us with an EMP blast, then all bets are off, and the money will just vaporize into the ether.

Baron, the Atlas Shrugged reference went completely over the unlettered Samhain's head.

I expect he does not realize that the top 1% Income Earners pay 34.27% of all Income Taxes, and the top 50% pay 96.54% of all Income Taxes.

Why do I pay no Income Tax?

#1...Philosophically, Because nearly half of taxes goes to entitlement programs that should be handled by private charities, and not extorted from the population at gunpoint.

#2...Legally, Because I make less than $6500 a year. My Corporation makes more, and pays taxes on what it makes.

I live simply, having no television service subscriptions, and get no tv signal where I live. I grow a good portion of my food, and share with my neighbors.

I can tolerate people with differing ideologies. [I once shared an apartment in Indiana with an animist from Guam. Good guy, strange religion.]

The true fascist does not tolerate other belief systems...and is actually a leftist philosophy. Remember, Hitler was a leftist, statist, and a fascist.

He, and his type, only succeed because the rest of us are not as vigilant as we should be. There are more of us Becoming Vigilant, and this is dangerous to them and their plans...hence the vitriol.
Just be glad the are generally too filled with hate to be good thinkers, and are generally parasites, not contributing to society.
It is sad that they cannot hear the beautiful song that is life, nor admire things from the cultures of the 'untermenschen' Sad, very sad.
