The Macon County Commissioners met on December 3, 2012 and, pursuant to state law, the re-elected and newly elected commissioners were sworn by Judge Downs, elected a chairman and vice chairman of the board and set it's regular meeting schedule for the coming year.
Here is the full video of the meeting, ably recorded for me by Bill Vernon. I would like to thank him for stepping in for me.
Macon County Manager Jack Horton chaired the meeting and oversaw the election of Kevin Corbin as the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners. Then, Chairman Corbin oversaw the election of Ronnie Beale as the Vice Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners. The newly reorganized board then set 6pm on the second Tuesday of each month in 2013 as the time of their regular monthly meeting.
Commissioners then conducted a brief meeting where they examined and approved the official bond for public officials of Macon County and awarded the contract for the installation of the reuse system.
