The Macon County Board of Education held a continuation meeting last night. After a 97 minute closed session, board members approved hiring people to fill 33 positions in the school system. 26 positions remain to be filled and it is anticipated that they will fill them at the July 22nd meeting.
The Board welcomed Dr Chris Baldwin as the new Superintendent of the Macon County School System. See video of his swearing in ceremony.
