The Macon County Board of Commissioners met last night in the county courthouse. A video of the entire meeting will be posted online later today,
and excerpts in the coming days.
LOCAL OUTLOOK
Low pressure will lift northeastward out of the region later today. Slightly drier high pressure will try to work its way into the region tomorrow, however a back door cold front will move south over the area helping to keep moist conditions over the area well into the weekend.

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Ophelia, located over the eastern Atlantic Ocean about 800 miles southwest of the Azores.
Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.
