This man will have Presidential Powers for a few hours today, much to the dismay of moonbats.
That makes today a good day indeed!!!!

CROWD FUNDING
If you're of a mind, and can afford it, a dollar a month (or more) from enough people will make a huge difference in improving the quality of coverage of local meetings and events, as well as allowing remote weather stations and weather cams to be deployed throughout the county that you will be able to access online.
Currently, 20 people have pledged $99 a month. This is a tremendous help. Please visit www.patreon.com/MaconMedia for more information on how to contribute.
Businesses can underwrite this coverage by day sponsorships, surplus equipment donations, etc. Inquire at editor@maconmedia.com for more information.

I thought you'd appreciate this little walk down memory lane:
"One of the (numerous) extraordinarily ignored events was when, last Spring, Bush kept saying that the failure of Democrats to pass a spending bill quickly enough was going to cause longer deployment times for troops. This, of course, didn't make any sense at all, but as it goes these days it didn't stop the press from reporting it as if it made sense.
And then, of course, someone in the Pentagon leaked the fact that the plan was to... extend troop deployments."
These people are dangerous liars.
What the President was talking about in his ever so ineloquent way was that it is cheaper to keep a unit over there than to activate another unit to rotate in as the old rotates out. You have training expenses, etc that are more. The logistics of such things are more expensive than the combat units themselves.
Of course the goal is to keep American GIs there as long as possible. We will have a presence there long after you and are both dead. My grandfather left Germany in October of 1945, and last I heard, we were still there, and had bases that were considered American Territory.
I forget that not all people have studied military history, strategy and tactics.
I also find it hard to believe that some people are actually against the use of military force to prevent a greater evil, as we should have done in the 20s to stop Japan and Italy, and in the 30s to stop Germany. It would cost us less lives and money.
I feel like I am living in a weird Twilight Zone episode when I talk with people who believe that way.
Of course, I realize that you feel the same way about people who believe as I do!
