A candidate forum was held last night at the Fountain Square (more recently called the Town Gazebo). Four of the six candidates participated. The mayor, who is running unopposed, also participated. A video will be posted later today.
LOCAL OUTLOOK
Dry and warm high pressure will remain across the region through Thursday, as a cold front approaches from the northwest. The front will move southeast of the area on Friday, and cooler and stronger high pressure will set up over the weekend into early next week.

For the North Atlantic...The Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on recently downgraded Tropical Storm Maria, located a couple of hundred miles east-southeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, and on Hurricane Lee, located over the central Atlantic Ocean.
Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.
