Happy 60th Birthday Israel!

The modern state of Israel is 60 today, and this blog is 3!

Israel was established in the wasteland of the Levant, and has struggled ever since for her very existence against the hordes of Arab and Persian practitioners of the Religion of Peace (aka Islam), after having almost being wiped out by the forces of the Waffen-SS under the direction of Adolf Hitler.

Today, Israel still faces overwhelming numbers of those opposed to her existence, even her right to self-defense, ranging from children taught to hate Jews from birth, to most members of the evil United Nations, who would allow her to be wiped off the map if God had not placed our nation on this earth as her protector (also certain men)until the time appointed for her tribulation, may I never live to see that day, or if I do, may I have a weapon in my hand, doing what I can to defend her.

The Israeli national anthem: Hatikva

In have an idea for a birthday present for Israel.

Here is a map to give you an idea of the challenges Israel has faced, with just the Arab World included, not counting the Persians, or the Muslim world:

Another rocket has landed in Israel today, this time in a shopping mall in Askelon. Here is a video an Israeli friend sent me:

And you may read more about it here and here.

"if God had not placed our nation on this earth as her protector (also certain men)until the time appointed for her tribulation,"

I'm no end-timer, so you'll have to clear this up for me.

If we stopped protecting them, wouldn't the "tribulation" come a lot sooner? Seems to me that folks who are anxious to see the end of the world ought to take a hands-off approach. That way the third temple could be built, and folks could get their rapture on.

We eventually will stop protecting Israel because the Christians will lose their influence on government policy.

Our job is to resist that change as long as we can, bringing as many people into saving knowledge of Christ along the way out of this world.

Our job here is to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield to the world of men. Ours is to do the will of God, even at the cost of our lives.

Just as Israel has a "Sampson Option", so do many Christians in America. Provided we have enough warning, you who will be left behind will not have spit to work with should this nation turn against Israel.
