LIVE From Times Square,
2009 Celebration

Here is the Mogulus live-stream from Times Square, which will be live from 4pm to 12.15am Eastern!

The "2008 WNC Conservative of the Year"
and a Look Back at 2008

The Thunder Pig

2008 WNC CONSERVATIVE OF THE YEAR

THE CAROLINA STOMPERS & CHAD NESBITT

The
Carolina Stompers , and their head honcho, Chad Nesbitt have done an excellent job of bringing the corruption in Buncombe County and the Democratic Party of North Carolina to light. While I can offer no substantial prize, I can offer a hearty "Well Done!" to Chad and his Carolina Stompers for their willingness to tread where other Republicans fear.

Chad has earned the ill will of NCDP Chairman Jerry Meeks, progressive bloggers, part-time Republicans, scores of Mtn X denziens and Coven Oldenwilde.

Chad, I salute you and your band of hearty warriors!

I look forward to watching you expand your franchise in 2009 and wish you nothing but success and the sound of liberals wailing and gnashing their teeth to sing you to sleep at night!!!

2008 IN REVIEW

If I don't get to post any more this year, I would like to thank everyone who visited my blog, emailed me with words of support, sent money to me, clicked on my advertising...and hit my Tip Jar. You have made it possible for me to do this full-time for over a year now.

This has allowed me to post at a prodigious rate (3,041 posts to date, 96 took place in 2005, 469 in 2006, 753 in 2007 and a whopping 1579 posts to date in 2008!!!), which I doubt I will be able to increase upon for next year because of several projects which will come to fruition, including a social networking site, a video show and a radio show I have been making cryptic allusions to over the past six months. My time be be spent wearing many hats in 2009.

Others in the conservative community have been making strides online also, and I wish to recognize some of them:

The Carolina Stompers

What can I say about this lovable bunch except they make me smile, give them awards, and have hope for Buncombe County, the land that has been dominated by progressives for so long. I am glad that Chad has avoided joining the circular firing squads this year. Chad has been overwhelmingly positive in our conversations and emails. And as a bonus, he hasn't threatened to sic his lawyer on me (inside joke).

The NC-11 GOP Primary

We had a good field of candidates.

One thing that I hope all Republicans took from this race is that it does take money to run a campaign. The Number One thing that money will get you is a paid staff of people who know what they are doing, who know how to build networks, and who know how to go and get more money with which to present the candidate's message to the public, which is the Second thing that money will get you. This Poverty Mentality must not be tolerated in our party any longer.

Kathy Rhodarmer

Kathy has been a Conservative Warrior for quite a while, and
made her first videos this past year. I think that she will be a rising star in the Citizen Journalist Corps that will be coming to the fore in 2009 in our area.

Richard Bernier

He has produced a lot of video this year, most of it available on his youtube channels called
Sound Off Buncombe, Captricrude1 and his Exposure room channel.

He and Randy Thomas started a website called
Draft Sarah Palin for President 2012 as Palinmania swept through some quarters of the GOP.

These two have also teamed up with Don Yelton to form an
Internet Talk Radio concern, which will officially launch in 2009. I wish them luck in their endeavour.

Don Yelton

Don Yelton has been a mentor to me, and a perennial gadfly to the power structure in both the Democratic and Republican Parties. He r
an for Buncombe County Commissioner this year, and maintains a steady stream of emails pointing people to news they might have otherwise missed.  Visit his website to keep up with his activities.

GOP State Level Candidates

I would like to recognize Susan Pons, and RL Clark, who ran for the NC Senate in their districts and also Dodie Allen and Paul Perdue, who ran for NC House seats. Although these people did not win, I would encourage to run again and to stay active in politics.

The Race for the Governor saw 4 qualified candidates run in the Republican primary. The problem here was that too many conservatives running split the primary vote and allowed the least conservative to win that race, as in the Presidential campaign. McCrory would have made a better Governor than the Democrat candidate, though.

OTHER LOCAL GOP NEWS

The Buncombe County Republican Party finally built a
modern website, complete with a video gallery. Now, we need to see if Republicans in Buncombe County will utilize it properly and develop a corps of videographers.

Jimmy Goodman ran a good positive campaign for Macon County commissioner this year. He defeated the sitting Chairman, Charles Leatherman, and ran on making positive changes, including putting the County Commission meetings on the Internet, which the old guard have refused to do. I hope that Jimmy will run again, and that this time, he will win.

It is in his honor that I will begin my long-threatened coverage of the Macon County Commission meetings in 2009. That is one project that I have been putting off for far too long, and I will be posting video excerpts of the meetings and taking notes to create a record that is search able, and will hopefully lead to more accountability in the coming year. The Macon County Commission has thwarted the will of Maconians for far too long.

LOOKING FORWARD

In case you haven't noticed...this list of people to recognize has been far too short. There needs to be more republicans involved in the online political arena, and it will be one of my major goals to get more people involved on their own websites producing written, oral and visual content.

And if i can convince them all that we are not competitors, but allies...then we will begin winning elections instead of trying to stab each other in the back.

Opration Cast Lead Update for New Year's Eve

Operation cast Lead continues, and before I dive into coverage, I'd like to introduce a video made by the Elder of Ziyon. He wondered what an Israeli propaganda video would look like if they copied the style of the pro-Hamas propaganda videos...

I will cherish that video as long as I draw breath. I know that tune will be stuck in my head for quite a while!

So, here is some of what I have found, and I have included a post about a pro-George W Bush Rally held in (of all places) Dearbornistan, Michigan!

Now that Hamas’s long war against Israel is matched with a short war in Gaza, protests are erupting everywhere from the blogosphere and Arab capitals to the United Nations, and they began on the very first day. Salon.com "blogger Glenn Greenwald calls the Israeli retaliation to more than a year of rocket attacks a “massively disproportionate response.” UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay “strongly condemned Israel’s disproportionate use of force.” The Israeli counterattack is, indeed, disproportionate, but it could hardly be otherwise. “At last count,” J.G. Thayer wrote, “one Israeli and two Palestinians (sisters, ages 13 and 5) died from rocket attacks. So a proportionate response, one presumes, would have required Israel to kill a single Palestinian and two of its own citizens.”

There were, I suppose, other “proportionate” responses available aside from killing one Palestinian and two Israelis. The Israel Defense Forces might have launched thousands of air strikes against targets in Gaza to match the thousands of Qassam rockets fired at the cities of Sderot and Ashkelon. It’s unlikely, however, that this is what Israel’s critics have in mind.

So what do they have in mind? What would a legitimate and “proportionate” response actually look like? Surely they don’t believe Israel should scrap its sophisticated weapons systems, build Qassam rockets, and launch those at Gaza instead.

Source: Michael J. Totten, in What Would a Proportionate Response Look Like?

I received a call from my friend Ali in Dearborn, MI the other day. After Desert Storm I brought Ali to America as a refugee. Ali had been an Iraqi Air Force Lieutenant Colonel who surrendered to my unit and then led me to a huge intelligence find. Some of what we discovered would eventually be used in Saddam Hussein trial. I was awarded a medal for the find and Ali spent 3 years in a POW camp until I was able to get him to the USA.

After living in Saint Paul for a number of years he moved to Dearborn, MI where there is a large Iraqi population and became a US citizen. I'll tell you more about Ali's story at a later date.

Ali told us of massive demonstrations in the streets of Dearborn following the shoe throwing incident in Baghdad. Unfortunately, we never saw reports in the main stream media about these demonstrations. Why? Because these demonstrators were showing support for President Bush. They were angry that after giving freedom to 25 million Iraqi's that a member of the press in Iraq would insult the Iraqi people with his shoe throwing escapades. They were also angry that the American media gave the incident so much air time.

Hat Tip:

Security chiefs in London are concerned that the escalation of violence in Gaza with the prospects of a ground offensive by the IDF could provoke a violent response by Arab and Muslim Londoners with minority elements influenced by Al-Qaeda plotting reprisal attacks in London.

MI5 have outlined the possible security threats posed by Al Qaeda:

Explosive devices

These can be delivered to their targets in vehicles, by post or by a person. Currently an explosive device within a vehicle is the most prevalent means of attack. Unlike the Provisional IRA, who also used this method, Al Qaida networks often seek to ensure that their target is hit by employing a suicide operative within the vehicle to detonate the device at the required moment.

Suicide bombers are also deployed to carry an explosive device into the vicinity of a target individual or location. On some occasions the terrorists decide, as they did in the Madrid commuter train attacks in March 2004, to detonate their devices remotely, so that they can go on to perpetrate further attacks.”

NEWS FROM OPERATION CAST LEAD

Hamas has been dealt a serious blow by the repeated IAF strikes in the Gaza Strip since Saturday, Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) head Yuval Diskin said on Wednesday.

"Hamas has been attacked as it has never been attacked before; it has suffered serious damage and its governability in Gaza has been severely impaired," Diskin told ministers at a meeting of the security cabinet.

The Shin Bet head added that many of Hamas's senior activists were hiding out in mosques and hospitals in Gaza, some of them in the guise of doctors and male nurses.

A Hamas representative in the PA legislative council this year expressed pride in the fact that women and children are used as human shields in fighting Israel. He described it as part of a "death industry" at which Palestinians excel, and explained that the Palestinians "desire death" with the same intensity that Israelis "desire life."

The following is the full text of the comments by Hamas representative Fathi Hamad: "For the Palestinian people death became an industry, at which women excel and so do all people on this land: the elderly excel, the Jihad fighters excel, and the children excel. Accordingly [Palestinians] created a human shield of women, children, the elderly and the Jihad fighters against the Zionist bombing machine, as if they were saying to the Zionist enemy: We desire death as you desire life."

A 21-year-old woman from Warsaw, Poland is volunteering at Magen David Adom's first aid and ambulance station in Ashkelon, which has already been hit by several rockets and missiles. Dominique Borovska said her parents were worried "but know I am a responsible girl and that the place where I am working is concerned about my safety."

A graduate of a first-aid course in the Polish Red Cross, Borovska took a refresher course at MDA before joining the ambulance staff. She is also a flute player and music student at Warsaw's conservatory and has a twin sister who is a ballet dancer.

PRO-PALESTINIAN ISRAEL HATERS GATHER

Source: Blackfive, in Palestinian Protest at State Department

The most important thing is to listen to the rhetoric and lies in the videos. Notice there are very few Palestinians, very few Arabs speaking. The Arab Community, like IVAW, like every other group of “victims” are being used by the anti-war community to work us all up into a lather. But you can see that for yourself.

Surely Khomeini would be proud. Even though "Britain has called for an urgent ceasefire," that's not good enough. Nothing will ever be good enough -- not allowing sharia courts to operate in Britain, nor financially supporting Hamas. The more you concede, the more will be demanded of you -- till you live in complete submission in accordance to Koran 9:29: "Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Messenger have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection."

"Iranian students raid British Embassy residence in Gaza protest," from the Telegraph, December 30:

A group of Iranian students stormed the British diplomatic compound in Tehran on Tuesday evening, accusing London of supporting the Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, Iran's official news agency reported.

"A large group of people and students entered the Gholhak gardens, which are occupied by the British embassy, to protest at Britain's policies in supporting the Zionist regime and put up the Palestinian flag there," state news agency IRNA reported.

Communist Party USA Condemns Israel

The party you love to hate, commies...and they hate Israel. Here is a Press Release issued by them yesterday:

The Communist Party USA (CPUSA) emphatically condemns the continuing Israeli air strikes in Gaza, which have left hundreds dead and over a thousand wounded. The hundreds of Israeli air strikes have been carried out with a total disregard for the safety of civilians and institutions and are the latest phase in a campaign to blockade the economy of Gaza and deny the people access to basic necessities. Israel's disproportionate response to the resumption of the Hamas rocket firings into Israel after the six-month ceasefire agreement expired, dramatically underscored the Bush Administration's sidetracking of diplomatic efforts and negotiations. In fact, the US government has provided the basis for Israel's military action with continued military aid and supplies.

The Communist Party of Israel has suggested that the current Israeli attacks are a demagogic move related to the current electoral campaign in that country, as well as perhaps being intended to present the incoming Obama administration with a fait accompli, making it more difficult for Obama to adopt a new approach to the Israel-Palestine issue.

The CPUSA denounces the Bush administration for the verbal and material support it is now rendering to the Israeli aggression. We condemn all attacks on civilians whatever the cause or intention. We call on all peace-minded people in the U.S. to demand an end to the Israeli airstrikes, end threats of a ground assault into Palestine, along with an end to Hamas rocket attacks, and to call on the incoming Obama administration to make a radical change in US policy on the Israel-Palestine issue, and to pressure the Israeli government to return to honest negotiations toward a two-state solution.

TAKE ACTION:

1. Contact the White House to protest the attack and demand emergency negotiations for an immediate cease-fire. Call 202-456-1111 or send an email to comments@whitehouse.gov.

2. Contact your Representative and Senators in Congress at 202-224-3121.

3. Call upon President-Elect Obama to pursue a new U.S. policy toward Israel/Palestine and send a message at
www.change.gov

4. Join one of the many
local actions protesting the assault on Gaza.

Commentary

I suggest you do the opposite. Call the numbers listed above and register your support for Israel.

At the Obama Transition website www.change.gov, send a message to President-elect Obama and remind him of his words:
"If someone was sending rockets on my house where my daughters were sleeping at night, I would do everything to stop it, and I would expect Israelis to do the same thing."
and congratulate him for standing with Israel against the terrorists. Also, if any of these communist groups are protesting Israel near you, please join the hardy band of pro-Israel demonstrators. Stand.

I am surprised that our resident commies in Asheville (Freak Capital of the South), NC doesn't have anything listed. Maybe their is a Gay Festival happening over there that prevents them from marching against Israel, Hmm?

Moonbat McKinney's Yacht Turned Back

And Israel Matzav has the story, a portion of which I have swiped:

The moonbats on the boat have accused Israel of 'piracy on the high seas.' But their understanding of international law is incorrect.
The movement's spokeswoman Greta Berlin told Israel National News that the incident occurred approximately 50-60 miles off the Gaza coast, in international waters. Any vessel can be legally required to identify itself in order to prevent it from entering prohibited territory although its passengers cannot be arrested in international waters, explained Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor.
They're also claiming that the Navy gunboat rammed the yacht, but Palmor shows that contention is ridiculous as well:
The Free Gaza boat, dubbed the Dignity, collided with a Navy boat, but Berlin said the activists on board have pictures to prove it was rammed, an allegation that Palmor said is ridiculous. "If we wanted to hit it intentionally, everyone would have drowned," he told Israel National News.

Commentary

In my opinion, Israel would have indeed done the world a service if it had sunk the yacht carrying Moonbat McKinney.

This young palestinian girl blames Hamas for the deaths of her family:

And this on the expected ground offensive:

(IsraelNN.com) Large Israeli forces – tanks, infantry, engineer corps, artillery and more – are waiting just outside Gaza for the order to enter. It is felt that the great successes of the three-day air campaign have begun - or are soon to begin - yielding diminishing returns, and that a ground offensive will be necessary.

The precise objectives of such an attack have not been publicized, however, other than the neutralization of rocket-launching sites. Strategic terror points, including mosques that shelter weapons and ammunition, will also be targeted.

“We will reach places [in Gaza] that the Palestinians never expected,” an unidentified senior IDF officer told NRG-Maariv.

Though Hamas is well-prepared, “We will reach places [in Gaza] that the Palestinians never expected,” a senior IDF officer said.

“We do not intend to bring in masses of forces,” the officer said, “which would become targets within [enemy territory.] The objective is rather to activate forces that will quickly and constantly move from one place to another. We have artillery, precise-fire weapons, and other surprises.” The IDF carried out a practice run for a ground offensive of this type two weeks ago.

Andrew Jaffee has caught CNN redacting it's own stories to match the Politically Correct line of the israel-Haters, and has screenshots to prove it:

CNN is a leader of, and role model for, the very politically-correct “mainstream” media. So I was flabbergasted to read an article posted today entitled, “Barak: Israel in ‘all-out war’ with Hamas,” which didn’t refer to Hamas as “assailants,” “extremists,” “gunmen,” “insurgents,” or “militants,” but actually printed the statement, “Israel continues to strike at Hamas terrorist targets in Gaza…” Initially, I thought to myself, “Does this represent a change in editorial policies — or even attitudes — about terrorism at the media giant?” But I also felt that I should be cautious before jumping to conclusions. I took a screen-shot of the page as well as saved the article to disk. After running some errands, I returned home, turned on my laptop, and reloaded the CNN article in question. Lo and behold, CNN had redacted its original terminology, removing any mention of the word “terrorist” in reference to Hamas, changed the story’s title, but left the URL (link to the page) unchanged. In other words, it pulled a fast one on its readers.

The
Elder of Ziyon has some stats on the rocket attacks on israel.

And in some good news, Ashkelon will be getting a rocket tracking system:

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) installed a new innovative command-and-control system in the Ashkelon Municipality that is capable of tracking and locating Katyusha rockets that hit the city.

The system was installed last week to be tested in a Home Front exercise that was held ahead of Operation Cast Lead launched against Hamas on Saturday. The system is called MC4 - Command and Control Communication Center. The system was developed by the IAI's Malam Missile and Space Division.

The system, the IAI said, uses GPS as well as other sensors and cameras to identify rocket launches and the targets that they hit inside the city.

Living in the Shadow of Qassams

Report of IDF Troops About To Enter Gaza

Here is a B-Roll video of IDF forces preparing for night operations.

I have received word that IDF Troops are preparing to enter Gaza.

For the Christian Prayer Warriors, I will refer you to Psalms 121 and 124.

Pslams 121:

1I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

3He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Psalms 124:

 1If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;

2If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:

3Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

4Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

5Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

6Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

7Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

8Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

Hamas Weapons R&D Center Hit By IDF

Israeli officials said Monday that the Israel Defense Forces managed to hit a target in Gaza which served as Hamas' arms development site.

"It was a target of high quality, and one of the State of Israel's strategic targets in Operation Cast Lead," a defense source said.

According to intelligence information gathered by the IDF and Shin Bet, the compound near the Islamic college in Gaza was being used as a chemical lab and as Hamas' important explosives lab in Gaza.

The Palestinian group used knowledge delivered from Iran and other places in order to increase the range of its Qassam and Grad rockets and develop advanced explosive devices, mortar shells and other weapons against Israel.

According to preestimations, paralyzing this compound would severely disrupt Hamas' ability to withstand a long battle.

Best Christmas Light Display and
The Republic of Texas Rises Again!!!

I missed this one when I was trolling for synchronized Christmas light displays, and for that, I apologize:

Hat Tip: Papa Mike, who has a knack for finding cool stuff...including this little warning from Texas...(I wonder what the immigration prospects would be for those of us wanting to join up with the Republic of Texas?)

Please note that Texas is the only state with a legal right to secede from the Union . (Reference the Texas-American Annexation Treaty of 1848.) We Texans love y’all, but we’ll probably have to take action since B. Hussein Obama won the election. We’ll miss you too. Here is what can happen:

#1: Barack Hussein Obama becomes President of the United States , Texas immediately secedes from the Union.

#2: George W. Bush will become the President of the Republic of Texas . So what does Texas have to do to survive as a Republic?

1. NASA is just south of Houston , Texas . We will control the space industry.

2. We refine over 85% of the gasoline in the United States .

3. Defense Industry–we have over 65% of it. The term “Don’t mess with Texas ,” will take on a whole new meaning.

4. Oil - we can supply all the oil that the Republic of Texas will need for the next 300 years. Yankee states? Sorry about that.

5. Natural Gas - again we have all we need and it’s too bad about those Northern States. John Kerry will have to figure out a way to keep them warm….

6. Computer Industry - we currently lead the nation in producing computer chips and communications–small companies like Texas Instruments, Dell Computer, EDS, Raytheon, National Semiconductor, Motorola, Intel, AMD, Atmel, Applied Materials, Ball Miconductor, Dallas Semiconductor, Delphi, Nortel, Alcatel, etc, etc. The list goes on and on.

The Current Global Cooling Trend

Chart Credit: Watts Up With That?

Abstracts of American Geophysical Union annual meeting, San Francisco  Dec., 2008

Solar Influence on Recurring Global, Decadal, Climate Cycles Recorded by Glacial Fluctuations, Ice Cores, Sea Surface Temperatures, and Historic Measurements Over the Past Millennium

Easterbrook, Don J., Dept. of Geology, Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA 98225,

Global, cyclic, decadal, climate patterns can be traced over the past millennium in glacier fluctuations, oxygen isotope ratios in ice cores, sea surface temperatures, and historic observations.  The recurring climate cycles clearly show that natural climatic warming and cooling have occurred many times, long before increases in anthropogenic atmospheric CO2 levels.  The Medieval Warm Period and Little Ice Age are well known examples of such climate changes, but in addition, at least 23 periods of climatic warming and cooling have occurred in the past 500 years. Each period of warming or cooling lasted about 25-30 years (average 27 years).  Two cycles of global warming and two of global cooling have occurred during the past century, and the global cooling that has occurred since 1998 is exactly in phase with the long term pattern.  Global cooling occurred from 1880 to ~1915; global warming occurred from ~1915 to ~1945; global cooling occurred from ~1945-1977;, global warming occurred from 1977 to 1998; and global cooling has occurred since 1998.  All of these global climate changes show exceptionally good correlation with solar variation since the Little Ice Age 400 years ago.

The IPCC predicted global warming of 0.6° C (1° F) by 2011 and 1.2° C (2° F) by 2038, whereas Easterbrook (2001) predicted the beginning of global cooling by 2007 (± 3-5 yrs) and cooling of about 0.3-0.5° C until ~2035.  The predicted cooling seems to have already begun. Recent measurements of global temperatures suggest a gradual cooling trend since 1998 and 2007-2008 was a year of sharp global cooling. The cooling trend will likely continue as the sun enters a cycle of lower irradiance and the Pacific Ocean changed from its warm mode to its cool mode.

Comparisons of historic global climate warming and cooling, glacial fluctuations, changes in warm/cool mode of the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) and the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation (AMO), and sun spot activity over the past century show strong correlations and provide a solid data base for future climate change projections. The announcement by NASA that the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) had shifted to its cool phase is right on schedule as predicted by past climate and PDO changes (Easterbrook, 2001, 2006, 2007) and coincides with recent solar variations. The PDO typically lasts 25-30 years, virtually assuring several decades of global cooling.  The IPCC predictions of global temperatures 1° F warmer by 2011,  2° F warmer by 2038, and 10° F by 2100 stand little chance of being correct. “Global warming” (i.e., the warming since 1977) is over!

Into the Bowels of Jew-Hatred

For those who want to read constantly updated posts from Israel, I suggest The Muqata and Israelly Cool. The Jerusalem Post is another good source of information, and Kol Israel has links to all the media sites in Israel and Arab media also.

[Egads---I forgot the Elder of Ziyon! This blogger also is keeping a calender of the numbers of daily rocket and mortar attacks on Israel (December and all time)]

If you know of anyone else in Israel who is live-blogging, please leave a link in the comments, and I will add it to the list, whether it be in English, Hebrew or Arabic.

Instead of posting another exhaustive link fest to the events in Israel (I may post one at the end of the day in Israel, 2pmish eastern Time, as a sort of news wrap-up if my Internet Connection holds), I thought it would be a change of pace to bring you the reactions of the Jew-Haters from the deepest darkest recesses of the Internet, but first, here are a couple of good guys reactions:

Although we were a lot less than those Pali terrorists we made a stand for a while before being overrun by the Pali terrorists and Toronto Police did absolutely nothing. They were overwhelmed by the number of the terrorists.

Back from Israel rally

Might I suggest taking a firearm and defending yourself against such hooliganism? Especially since the police have demonstrated that they will not protect you?

Even the Legacy Media is, for the most part, pro terrorist and anti-Israel. Just witness this report on the biased coverage from CNN:

"CNN International's coverage of yesterday's fighting in Gaza concluded at midnight with a rush of images: mangled civilians writhing in the rubble, primitive hospitals overflowing with the wounded, fireballs mushrooming between apartment complexes, the funeral of a Palestinian child. Missing from the montage, however, was even a fleeting glimpse of the tens of thousands of Israelis who spent last night and much of last week in bomb shelters; of the house in Netivot, where a man was killed by a Grad missile; or indeed any of the hundreds of rockets, mortar shells, and other projectiles fired by Hamas since the breakdown of the so-called ceasefire. This was CNN at its unprincipled worst, grossly skewering its coverage of a complex event and deceiving its viewers. Yet Israel should not have been surprised."

GAZA AND CNN

Donald Douglas, writing at American Power, takes Ezra Klein to task as a 1930s style appeaser:

I've written a couple of times now on the left's response to the outbreak of war in the Middle East. Still, Ezra Klein deserves an honorable mention in this rogue's gallery of self-styled 1930s-appeasement look-alikes. Klein, for example, has this to say in response to a New York Times' report that attacks from Gaza were "deeply disturbing" even though there were "no recent deaths and few injuries

God Bless the State of Israel, wherein he also links to a good article by Caroline Glick in Israel, which I have taken the liberty to excerpt below:

This morning I knew the strike against Gaza was beginning when the thunderous roar of jet fighters en route to their mission shook my home. I was immediately overwhelmed by a profound sense of hope and relief.

Finally, after months of passivity, incompetence and empty threats that simply eroded Israel's credibility in the eyes of our enemies and friends alike still further, the IDF has been ordered to defend the country. Finally after the anger and defiance of residents of Ashkelon, Sderot and the kibbutzim and moshavim around Gaza had long been transformed into pleas of desperation, the government seems finally to be fulfilling its most important duty -- protecting the citizens of the State of Israel.

Airstrikes in Gaza

So, we are about to leave the bounds of Western Civilization into a Nietzschean underworld of hate, racism and paranoia...grab your flashlights, gas masks and barf bags. Remember these people are defending people who stone children...

Nowhere does the divide between left and right become so clear as to the welfare of the State of Israel and her right to defend herself. This is why I so adamantly label the anti-war types in the Ron Paul "r3VOLution" as being lefties...because their Foreign policy leads to the same exact thing as lefty Foreign Policy...the defeat of Western Civilization by the Barbarian Philosophies of the East. And I will take you now, into the region where hatred of Israel, paranoia and stupidity collide...the message boards where
Jew-Hating Ron Paul Supporters gather...

I am willing to bet that the Palestinians are firing rockets in retrobution to Israeli action. Possibly false imprisonment of Palestinians. A rocket killed one person, and Israel killed 260+. Same old story there.

Another insightful commentary from Robert Fisk, a British reporter who for years has written on the Israel/Palestine situation:

Quote:

Robert Fisk: Leaders lie, civilians die, and lessons of history are ignored

Monday, 29 December 2008

We've got so used to the carnage of the Middle East that we don't care any more – providing we don't offend the Israelis. It's not clear how many of the Gaza dead are civilians, but the response of the Bush administration, not to mention the pusillanimous reaction of Gordon Brown, reaffirm for Arabs what they have known for decades: however they struggle against their antagonists, the West will take Israel's side. As usual, the bloodbath was the fault of the Arabs – who, as we all know, only understand force.

Re: The true story behind this war is not the one Israel is telling

And this gem of utter stupidity and racism:

Every country should bomb Israel off the map as they know they get away with it and claim the old women and children did it to themselves like the they did of Lebanon, and many were Christians, not Hezbolloh.

Obviously the jews are trying to start something up as Obongo gets into power with his Zionist Vice President Biden. As well to try and get a rise out of Iran. Guess the Merry Christmas greeting from Iran was just too much.

One other matter is the area of Gaza is a very long historic sore spot for the jews and one reason they have not made it part of Israel either. It was the area of the famous Battle of Magan in early Sumeria where the jews and the blacks were totally defeated and driven back and the legendary Sacred Bowl of Odo (ODIN) was retrived. One of the orginal Holy Grails. Ar-Thur or God Thor Ar Dur. Ever since it has been jewish revenge on the White Race and any others they can go at. Gaza to the jews is a place or sacrifice to their Ba'al.

Yes and the time of the menorah that symbolizes the holocaust of the White Greeks, so the jews have to carry out their unholy times now and kill as many as possible to appease their bloodthirsty god ba'al- Moloch.

Re: At Least 140 Killed As Israel Launches Air Strikes In Gaza Strip

These evil people all hate the good that is Israel, and side with terrorists, lefties and Paulites against the beacon of Western Civilization in the Middle East, Israel.

I address this to the good, decent people who support Ron Paul:

I know that there are Ron Paul supporters who love Israel, aren't racists, and support Israel's right to self-defense. You, however, are not blameless in allowing these vermin to thrive in your movement. Ron Paul should have been more forceful in his condemnation of these people, and you should be more forceful as well.

Your message is tainted by these evil people. They should be jettisoned from your movement.
