The Macon County Commissioners recognized Barbara McRae for her tireless efforts to preserve the heritage of Macon County and promote awareness of the history of Macon County during the August 9, 2010 meeting.
I have always found her articles on local history in The Franklin Press a fascinating read and would love to see them collected in book form at some point.
