LOCAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
A backdoor cold front will settle southward across the region today and then linger in the area through early Monday before dissipating or lifting back north as a warm front. Another cold front will approach from the west and likely stall in or near the mountains through Tuesday. Tropical Cyclone Florence will approach the East Coast late in the week, with uncertain impacts on our region into next weekend. Computer models vary significantly, and we'll have a better idea of the path of the storm by Tuesday morning. If you have a trip to an east coast beach from Wednesday to Monday of next week, you should be paying close attention to the weather forecasts. Impacts to Macon County are impossible to accurately and honestly forecast at this time.
