Today
Partly sunny with a chance of rain this morning, then cloudy with rain likely this afternoon. Highs in the 50s. South winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent. Rainfall amount between a quarter and half an inch.
Tonight
Showers in the evening, then rain after midnight. Patchy fog. Lows in the 40s. Winds out of the northwest around 5 mph. Chance of rain near 100 percent. Rainfall amount between half and three-quarters of an inch.
Monday
Patchy fog in the morning. Mostly cloudy with showers likely in the morning, then mostly sunny with a chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs ranging from the upper 50s to the lower 60s. Winds out of the northwest 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.
Monday Night
Mostly clear. Lows ranging from the lower 40s to the upper 30s. Winds out of the northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
Tuesday
Mostly sunny. Highs ranging from the upper 50s to the lower 60s. Winds out of the west 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

HAZARDS
A strong low-pressure system will track across the region today through Monday morning. Some thunderstorms and heavy rainfall are possible as this system moves across the area. An isolated strong to severe storm is possible, with damaging winds the main threat.

The CDC website [LINK] reports 5,859 people in North Carolina are infected and that the infections are widespread, the NCDHHS website [LINK] reports 6,140 confirmed cases, 388 hospitalized and 164 deaths in the state. The Johns Hopkins Dashboard [LINK] reports 6,376 people infected and 191 deaths (these include non-residents located in NC).
