I am not sure what kind of effect the Daily Kos Endorsement of Mitt Romney had on the primary, but I like to think it had the effect of putting him over the top of McCain:
- Mitt Romney..........39%
- John McCain..........30%
- Mike Huckabee......16%
- Ron Paul..................6%
- Fred Thompson.......4%
- Rudy Giuliani...........3%
I think only Huckabee, McCain, Paul, and Romney campaigned in Michigan, and accordingly, they got the top four slots.
Here are the Democrat results:
- Hillary Clinton......56%
- Uncommitted........39%
- Dennis Kucinich....4%
- Mike Gravel...........1%
Edwards and Obama urged their supporters to vote uncommitted in the contest, and 39% did so.
So, in a very unlikely turn of events, I wish to thank the Krazy Kos Kidz for whatever help they have lent to conservatism by supporting a candidate more conservative than John McCain!
