Macon County Commissioners 08-14-2012

**9.09pm** Here is the video from tonight's meeting of the Macon County Commissioners.

The commissioners met briefly tonight and voted to approve a proposal for the financing of computer equipment in the amount of $1.5 million and awarded the bid to BB&T Governmental Finance at an interest rate of 1.44 percent.

Commissioners approved the appointment of Gary Shields to a full term on the Board of Trustees of Southwestern Community College. Mr. Shields was originally appointed to fill the unexpired term of Charles Leatherman.

The commissioners then recessed the meeting until next Tuesday at 6pm.
