I read a silly statement on Daily KKKos this morning that I just had to record for posterity and poke a little fun at:
Jesus would ban school prayer.
Of course they would want to get Jesus. If they actually READ the Bible they think is the Inerrant Word of God, they'd see what a Secular Humanist He is. Look at the Parable of the Good Samaritan. What Jesus was actually saying is that prejudice is wrong, yet because they treat His Words as a cliche, that means because they automatically think "Good" when they hear "Samaritan," that makes them closer to God than those who heard Christ with their own ears and struggled to not think He'd committed an oxymoron.

This was in the thread regarding the bear that was dumped near the WCU Mascot the day before yesterday that turned out to be stupid student prank. I note that an update to the story has been posted as yet.
Anyhow, on with the poking fun...
Does this commenter even know what a secular humanist is? From Wikipedia:
Secular humanism is a humanist philosophy that upholds reason, ethics and justice, and specifically rejects the supernatural and the spiritual as the basis of
moral reflection and decision-making. Like other types of humanism, secular humanism is a life stance focusing on the way human beings can lead good and happy lives. The term "secular humanism" was coined in the 20th century to make a clear distinction from "religious humanism". A related concept is "scientific humanism", which biologist Edward O. Wilson claimed to be "the only worldview compatible with science's growing knowledge of the real world and the laws of nature".
And the Human Secularist Council has this to say about Religious and Supernatural Claims:
How Do Secular Humanists View Religious and Supernatural Claims?
Secular humanists accept a world view or philosophy called naturalism, in which the physical laws of the universe are not superseded by non-material or supernatural entities such as demons, gods, or other "spiritual" beings outside the realm of the natural universe. Supernatural events such as miracles (in which physical laws are defied) and psi phenomena, such as ESP, telekinesis, etc., are not dismissed out of hand, but are viewed with a high degree of
skepticism.
It is kind of weird for someone to try to claim that the Man who called Himself God as a Human Secularist, but typical for people who think that the last 2,000 years of history mean nothing now that they are here on the scene. [Quinn's Law #8]
Do people ever read what they write?
