Last night, the Macon County Commissioners held a joint meeting with the Macon County Planning Board to discuss goals and expectations for the coming year.
Among the items discussed was a desire to begin a joint project with the Town of Franklin to expand water and sewer services, over the course of time, to the entire county.
The Commissioners voted to instruct the Planning Board to tackle the following projects, in the following order:
1 - Flood Plain Ordinance (the Macon County Watershed Council wants to be heard on this)
2 - Sign Ordinance
3 - High Impact Ordinance
The next meeting of the Macon County Commissioners will be a joint meeting with the Macon County Board of Education on Tuesday at 6pm in the Macon Bank Corporate Center. The Planning Board will be meeting on March 21st at their usual location at the Macon County Health Department.
